After finishing school I really struggling with my creative expression. I felt as though my art had to be very serious and always carry a really meaningful powerful unsaid statement to promote conversation. As a result I began to explore expressionism throughout history, I was always interested in psychology, subconsciousness and just the overall human experience. I integrated these ideas in my work by using childlike imagery & psychedelic style to create a work that can connect to my inner child whilst also experiencing the adult world. My works during these times were accompanied by a lot of mental turmoil which is probably why they often feature dream worlds, places where no one can hurt you and you will never be scared, where judgement can’t find you and the air is quiet.
