Beginner’s Luck Collection
As a jeweller who has only started their practice within the last year or so there are bound to be mistakes made and learning curves to overcome. Instead of keeping these pieces hidden to never see the light of day, I’m giving them a chance to have another chance at appreciation. All of these pieces are discounted due to some fault of the creator (aka me), whether it be a chipped stone, imperfect setting or scratched surface these pieces show evidence of learning. Some faults are more obvious than others but are all surface level imperfections, the strength and integrity of the jewellery is intact they just have battle scars.
Purple/pinky labourite set in sterling silver. Shifts from orange, pink purple depending on the light. Stamped with 925.
There is a small chip/crack running through the stone but it has since been secured and isn’t noticeable from far away.
Solid Australian pink opal set in sterling silver. Solid sterling silver chain, bar toggle & hoop. Super light weight and comfortable to wear. Length can be adjusted using the toggle and jump rings.
I chipped the gem in the corner of the opal but from far away you can’t really tell. It was also my first time making a chain so some of the links are a bit jankier than others but the overall chain is structurally sound and you don’t notice these mistakes from far away.

Ethiopian opal set in sterling silver. Opal is slightly chipped on one side, hardly noticeable when wearing.
